What’s the Point?

If you’re like me, nothing’s more frustrating than taking time to try out a recipe–especially Paleo recipes–only to discover that it doesn’t work or that the proportions are wrong. It’s equally frustrating to find a perfect recipe that would feed a big family but just isn’t healthy enough to advocate. I’d like to dedicate this blog to sifting through a variety of recipes I find online and making them healthier, more affordable, and a little easier. Shoutout to everyone who has “Recipes that Work” as a Pinterest board.

Also, if you’re like me, then sometimes you don’t get to the gym until 11:00PM, or you just don’t really feel like a particular workout is doing much for you. Where’s that happy medium between a good, challenging workout and one that isn’t going to inhibit your day? While I’m still learning so much on my fitness journey, I will say that I can’t just “decide” I want to workout someday (although if spontaneity is the only way you can find time, then please, go be active!). For me, anyway, it takes planning my meals around what types of workouts I’ll be doing. I don’t load up on carbs on a rest day, for example, and I don’t eat a heavy meal before doing a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout. This blog is just as much for me as it is for anyone out there interested.

I use a lot of BodyRock, tabata, and interval training. I sometimes use weights (ranging from 15-45 lbs for arms), depending on the workout, but a lot of this is stuff you can do at home. I find it works for me! 🙂
